Larry, Anna and Simon recently made their annual trans-atlantic journey to London, England to attend this year's Rumfest held in the Excel Centre, Docklands. The Rumfest is the largest celebration and festival of rum in the world and takes place over two days having an indoor carnival festival feel. This year's rumfest was a sell out and the highlight of the weekend were the Golden Rum Barrell Awards held in The Grange Hotel, Holborn. The evening featured a performance by R&B star Delilah and we were delghted to win two awards - Plantation of the Year and Best New Boutique White Rum for our new white rum which is only just being released to the market. It is a great honour for us to win these awards as a small family run plantation and a pleasure to be able to represent Barbados on such an international platform. We have a fantastic team at St Nicholas Abbey who all play an imporant role in ensuring our visitors have a great day out at the plantation and we are pleased for each and every one of the team to acheive recognition with this award. We are looking forward to an upcoming busy winter season welcoming our loyal frequent visitors along with new faces to the abbey and a busy season for the Warrens culminating in Simon's wedding in April to be held at the Abbey!
